Payment Terms

How rentals are paid for, how renewal works and where to find your receipts.

Effective from 2026-10-16

1. General

These Payment Terms supplement the Rental Terms and describe how JustMac Mac rentals are paid for, how renewal and auto-renewal work, and how receipts are issued. Defined terms have the meaning given to them in the Rental Terms.

2. Prices

  • Prices are shown on the Prices page in US dollars (USD).
  • Sales tax (such as GST or VAT) is calculated by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, based on your location. The tax amount and the total are shown at checkout before you pay and on the invoice. We do not charge any other fees on top.
  • The total amount payable is shown on the checkout page before you confirm payment. There are no hidden charges.
  • Discounts for longer periods are calculated relative to paying by the day: the percentage shown next to a weekly or monthly plan is how much less it costs than the same number of days at the daily price.
  • Renewing a Rental costs less than the standard price for that period. The current renewal discount is shown on the site, and the renewal price is shown before you pay.
  • Payments are charged in US dollars. If your card is in another currency or was issued overseas, your bank may charge a currency conversion or international transaction fee. These fees are outside our control.

3. How payment works

  • Rentals are paid in full and in advance, before access to the Mac begins.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our online reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the payment, issues the invoice and takes care of sales tax. Card details are entered in Paddle’s secure payment window; we receive only the payment confirmation, the card type and the last 4 digits of the card number.
  • We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, as well as other methods shown on the payment page.
  • The card must belong to you, or you must be authorised to use it.
  • Access to the Mac opens immediately after payment is confirmed. The rental agreement for the relevant period is formed at that moment.

4. Renewal and auto-renewal

Manual renewal

  • You can renew a Rental at any time before the end of the Rental Period, in the session panel or in your account. The paid period is added to the current one without a break.
  • If auto-renewal is off, we send a reminder to your account email address 24 hours before the end of the Rental Period.

Auto-renewal

  • Auto-renewal is off by default and is turned on only by your express action: by ticking the option at checkout or in your account.
  • By turning on auto-renewal, you authorise Paddle, our Merchant of Record, to charge the card you paid for the Rental with, at the end of each Rental Period, for the next period of the same length — until you turn auto-renewal off.
  • The amount of each charge is the renewal price for that period applicable at the time of the charge.
  • If the price changes, we will notify you by email at least 7 days before the first charge at the new price.
  • You can turn off auto-renewal at any time in your account. If you turn it off before the end of the Rental Period, there will be no further charge.
  • After each charge, we send a receipt to your account email address.

5. If a payment fails

  • If a payment is declined, access to the Mac does not open or, in the case of auto-renewal, the Rental Period is not renewed. We will let you know by email.
  • If your bank declines an automatic charge, auto-renewal will be turned off. You can renew the Rental manually before the end of the Rental Period; otherwise it will end at the end of the current Rental Period and the data on the Mac will be deleted.
  • If you were charged but access did not open, email hello@justmac.app with the date and amount. We will open access or refund your money.

6. Receipts and invoices

  • After each payment, we send a receipt to your account email address. All payments and their invoices are in your account. Invoices are issued by Paddle, the seller of record.
  • To add your company’s details (name, tax number) to an invoice, email hello@justmac.app.

7. Disputed payments

  • If you disagree with a charge, please email us first at hello@justmac.app: we resolve most issues faster than a bank can.
  • If you dispute a payment through your bank, we may suspend your account until the dispute is resolved. This does not limit your right to contact your bank.
  • We may check payments for signs of fraud and decline a payment or suspend a Rental if there are reasonable grounds to believe a payment is fraudulent.

8. Refunds

When and how we give refunds is described in the Refund Policy.
