Quick start
- Choose a Mac and a rental period on the Prices page.
- Pay. The Mac appears under My account.
- Press “Open Mac”. The desktop opens in a browser tab.
You can open the Mac on any device — from My account. Only one device at a time: a new connection closes the previous one.
Requirements
- Browser: Chrome / Edge 110+, Safari 16.4+, Firefox 115+.
- Internet: 15 Mbps or more.
- Location: in Australia — the closer you are to it, the lower the latency.
Browser session
The bar at the top shows the time left, Ping, “Mac password”, “Upload files”, “Full screen” and “Close”.
Keyboard shortcuts
Shortcuts with ⌘ are passed to macOS. If the browser intercepts a shortcut, switch to full-screen mode.

Files
Drag files onto the Mac screen or paste them with ⌘V / Ctrl+V — they land where you are working. The “Upload files” button saves to Downloads. Up to 8 GB. A file you copy on the Mac can be downloaded from the notice.
Security
- The Mac is yours alone for the rental.
- The connection is encrypted.
- One hour after the rental ends, all data is permanently deleted.
Payment and renewal
Pay at checkout. Auto-renewal can be turned on and off at any time. Without it, you get an email 24 hours before the rental ends. Renewal is 10% cheaper.
